It is the product , stop dancing around the issues. You buy an expensive piece of equipment & the company forces you into a right to repair. Apple has been doing the same sh!t with their equipment & people still continue to buy it
The EU has had right-to-repair laws since 2024. Apple has been trying to slow down the US backlash so much that they claimed to agree with right-to-repair in 2024. They don't. They're trying to lobby their way around it. They won't. California and Oregon both have R2R laws on their books.
And it's the same for farmers and construction folks with John Deere/Caterpillar shenanigans.
