He’s mediocre and the only ones who thinks that he’s better than mediocre are the ones that don’t listen to rock. They might know some wack ass modern Coldplay and know one or two old school Eric Clapton songs
Relevant rock magazines don’t even review his shyt, but you wouldn’t know that cause you don’t know rock.

Dude is talented as hell man, and his music isn't Rock really, his Continuum album is more 'Blues', and he touches on a bit of country and pop.
Just because you can play a guitar doesn’t mean that you’re a good at making music. Macklemore can play with words and flow to beats, but the music is still not good.
They still have the same type of stans as someone listens to hiphop, rock (pop rock, blues rock, or whateber type prefix you wanna throw in) and folk equally. The only time I hear people mention him is when it’s people who are barely casual listeners. Like modern Eminem fans, go to his YouTube and you’ll see millions calling his new shyt goat and that no one else is nice in hiphop
I’m obviously exaggerating a bit, but he’s the true definition of average. He’s not among the weakest and he’s never been mentioned in the top or any year end lists. Except Grammy’s and Billboard and other pop-things like probably MTV just like Macklemore.

I am not sure breh, as for pure guitar skills I think he is mentioned and respected. I like a lot of John Mayer's stuff and I think he is legit talented
