Yup it is. This is why the 2 party system always wins bc morons like yourself dont even bother to listen to others explaining their platforms but wait for soundclips.

The two party system wins because first past the post single member district elections make anything more than two parties impractical.

Think about it like this. If there were 4 parties and the electorate split 4 ways that's 25% in each direction. If somebody gets 26% of the vote they win and 74% of the population didn't vote for that person but they get to govern. The next election the 74% that supported losers will see many abandon their party and gather around a party that's somewhat closer to them ideologically even if there are differences because they'd rather see some of their ideology enacted then none of it. That continues to happen until there are two parties left. The country gets split about 50-50 and when someone gets slightly more than 50% of the vote they win.

Also the electoral college doesn't support more than 2 parties. With 3 or more parties it will be very difficult for any single candidate to get to 270.

In other words a complete overhaul of how our elections are ran from top to bottom is required to break away from the two party system. It won't happen. If a third party rises it will be to replace one of the two major parties because it died. Our system can't support 3 or more parties.

What was the nature of the email?

Jill Stein's core platform is her Green New Deal that aims to get America off fossil fuels to 100% renewable energy by 2030 and create millions of jobs in the process.

Cancelling the student debt is a out of left field idea... BUT, the Federal Reserve COULD do it. The Fed could very easily do a debt swap in the same vein as Quantitative Easing. It wouldn't be quantitative easing per se, but the process would be very similar. As far as the president having authority goes, the bulk of the debt is held by the Department of Education, who could be required by executive order to stop collections on the debt, meaning it is basically forgiven and no one owes payment. The political fight would then come over how to deal with what remains, it could be added to the national debt or bought by the Federal Reserve.

I like John Oliver and thought the segment was fine but he's obviously playing for Hillary even though he called her corrupt.

This was probably the least in-depth he's gone on something and a guy with his platform should do better. Jill being painted as this cooky conspiracy baiter has worked well for the Dems to curb her rising in the polls (because they couldn't run with her being sexist). But her plans shouldn't be dismissed and her acceleration towards green energy is something to look into if we don't want shyt to hit the fan in 50 years. She's probably not the best the left has to offer but she's not what the segment portrays her as.

I agree with Gary Johnson being awful though.
