a lot of citizens aren't, but these deals get made at the city government level, rarely are they on the ballot (if ever?)

At the end of the day the fans want their team to stay, period. No politician is going to win a battle if a sports team leaves on their watch. The mayor of Atlanta is catching shyt for the Braves moving 15 minutes outside of downtown.

Sad but true. I'll tell you the majority of residents in Milwaukee who want to fund the stadium don't even live in the city on a consistent basis.

Want a new stadium? Better save for 4 new tires (which are also taxed for the Brewers stadium, still) cause those potholes will spread like the flu from now on.

Folks will cry that their beloved sports team might be moving, then cry when the roads are tore up, water pipes continue to burst and kids are dumb as hell.

The politicians better not put this on the ballot in WI, they know it wouldn't pass anyway.

The only way these stadiums should get any public funding is if the city gets a percentage of the profits for all events held there.

I haven't watched the video yet, but I've always thought it was the dumbest shyt in the world for a city to use tax money to essentially fund a private endeavor. It's pure bullshyt.

The individual teams pay taxes tho.

But I agree, the organization itself, the NFL, is certainly a FOR PROFIT org. It's criminal that they get away with that.
