Interesting that NFL players have a WAY better life expectancy than the general public :jbhmm:
Not that crazy at all. Professional athletes spend the majority of their child-adult life with superior diets, means for medical attention and a far lower usage rate of drugs and alcohol than the regular population. The avg NFL career is only 2-3yrs. Not enough to time to get cumulative damage as the more severe cases with the premier athletes who have a decade+ of that damage. So basically you live all your life straight edge just for that 2-3 year payout. Afterwards you are mid to late twenties adult and have to make the effort to drink/drug hard. Which alot don't because the habit just isn't there.

Pro Wrestlers aren't athletes like that. They spend all they're years before, during and after wrestling, drinking, drugging and juicing. The physical discipline isn't there like NBA/NFL.

Nah, I mean all the CTE symptoms. And I woudlnt try to compare wrestlers and NFL player in the least. Wrestlers are on the road without a lot of supervision partying their asses off.

That's kind of my whole point. They are far less disciplined with their bodies and this, do significantly more damage to it resulting in far more health issues. Not surprising at all.

The CTE thing moreso effects the aging veteran who was talented enough to play many more years than the average NFL guy. The cumulative damage required for CTE is less prevalent in the majority of the short career players. Meaning most.

:dwillhuh: :mjcry: like many others i stopped following the WWE after the attitude era was over and before they absorbed ECW and WCW. and besides the rare random wrestler shoot interview, i dont know much behind the scenes stuff. but i always thought Vince was a decent guy and a good guy to work for. I caught that vibe about him from the ESPN XFL documentary anyway

THere is no straight edge in the life of these athlethes, were going to see alot more of these guys who like to bulk up at the gym falling off bad and dropping dead sadly. Just the pure fact of eating too much unneccessary shyt puts a wear on the body. I'm willing to bet guys who don't rely as much on strength and size will have greater life expectancies.

What John Oliver does every week is fukking incredible. It’s very impressive, he just goes off for like a half hour straight, spit fire. I wonder how many takes he does?

:manny: Not sure if you are downplaying it or not, but if that’s all he is doing, which I don’t doubt, I wonder why his style is so unique and he is so much better to watch than all the other folks doing it? Oh well, his show is great, he does a really good job.
