Nah...I don't see John Singleton waiting 20 years to get revenge on 2pac with a script.

What I do see is LT. and Morgan Creek who fought tooth and nail against Afeni with the weight of billion dollar companies behind them for the rights to put this movie out trying to deflect from the criticism it's gotten from fans and just movie goers in general by bringing up drafts of scripts that have nothing to do with their piece of shyt movie.

And the angle they run with is that they had to swoop in and save 2pac from being 'defamed'.



Goofy dialog that doesn't quite roll off the actors tongue get re-written, or thrown out all together while shooting films. Scenes get cut too.

People straight up ignoring the propaganda from Morgan Creek and things like putting a gag order on his family based on THAT is ignorant.

the only problem with "Away from me peasants" is that it doesnt "roll off the tongue"? Some things should never make it into the first draft of a script,like that rape scene and beheading shyt John refuses to explain


all i have to say is thank you LT Hutton and Benny Boom....based on what I've seen now and heard about this script,and John refusing to defend himself or say that wasnt going to be in the movie....its more than a narrative now,Pac and us fans got saved from a lifetime of embarrasement

and only people who can be on gag orders are people who got checks,Afeni settled with Morgan Creek....Its unknown if she was in the wrong or if they were,you continue to assume Afeni can do no wrong though...frankly it seems like alot of fuss started to come from the family after the success of the NWA movie....they thought they might get those movie rights back....im pretty sure they got lowballed in the Morgan Creek offer when you realize what this couldve been ,since the NWA movie was so succesful,if handled right.

Afeni was a revolutionary, if she believed that Pac got violated by Police, I think telling the truth about the cops involvement in his downfall would take priority over worrying about Pac's image being tarnished because of something that was out of his control.

Pac said it didn't happen but who...especially RIGHT THEN would admit to some shyt like that? The one person you MIGHT admit that to is your mother who has seen her friends be assassinated by police, you wouldn't tell the 'world.', not the time nor place for that when all of this was going down.

20 years after the fact, especially in a time where we are seeing live executions by the police on facebook, you could debate that it would be an important part to the story. You could also debate that even if it were true it doesn't need to make it in the movie. I don't see nobody on here defending with respect of the Shakur family and how this whole movie shyt went down and what this movie ended up being.
