OT, it blows my mind how Atlanta can never draw players in FA. You got nightlife; music, and women. Atl and Houston are the GOAT places to be for a young black millionaire.

This. One of the most baffling things in sports to me. Especially guys like Chris Paul, Josh Smith and Dwight Howard should have been back home to Atlanta and formed a big three when they first became free agents as young guys. Every young black player in the NFL,NBA and MLB should be dying to get down there and get treated like a King. I think family and agents get in their ear and guide them to cities and teams that can pay more money or are better shots at winning it all. I know that is the city for me if I was a pro athlete. Hell if I win the lottery Atlanta will be my first stop and probably will get a place down there.

one reason is media markets. NY, LA, Chi,etc> ATL, HOU. Regardless of how garbage each team is(largely due to enept owners and managment) these cities are the first and second largest media markets in the country. And they have everything you listed tenfold.

This is why LA got two football teams. Why Chicago and NYhave two baseball teamsThis is why NY has two football teams(technically 3 with the bills) this is why the Angels are called the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim this is why the Islanders moved to Brooklyn etc etc etc. Point is this is everyone knows it's about marketing and money first and winning second(switched for some people), they'll get treated like Kings on any team so going to a city just cause it's"good for black men" really ain't a big draw for these athletes. They can visit and go home as they please
