SMF and LAX to VA and NC
Yeah and cant wait until he come to LA so I can cut his ass about being retired :pachaha:

He did what a number 1 pick supposed to do for the most part, lead his team and be a multiple year all star..

Every body can’t be an all time great like Kobe and Bron Mj…John in that Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill tier, injuries stopped the momentum of the ride..

People like to rate John worse than what he was because of the blood shyt and always being in the club but his whole NBA career he never had a scandal or run in with the law despite being “Outside” but no one points that out just act like he was wilding out when he wasn’t just more seen
That last post is true. I guess the thing is that everybody knew in real time, how special and truly great he could be, if he 100% committed to basketball. Everybody knew he wasn't fully committed to the craft and it felt like he took his natural god given gifts for granted.

But you right he never got in any real trouble. Great career and certainly deserves his flowers!

Chauncey got the title, lol.

Part of the reason I disliked/feared KD going to the Warriors wasnt just making them unbeatable. If Bron were to lose I'd rather it had been to a KD/Wall/Beal trio. A title and maybe Wall would get in.

However, KD probably sensed Wall wasnt 100% focused on basketball.

Hate to say it, but Colin Cowherd's hating of Wall's 1st game dougie proved to be prophetic. There were no vets to keep him grounded.

I do wonder how different Kyrie and Wall's careers go if you flipped years. Kyrie goes to the Wizards and Wall goes the following year to the Cavs. Make no mistake Kyrie is better/capable of playing at a high level years later cause of skillset, etc etc. However, there use to be a serious debate about that time period. Not sure he wins a ring with Bron (although 2015 Wall is better than no Kyrie vs the Warriors) but he does have a better career.

If John Wall went to the Cavs Cleveland would still be crying over Earnest Byner

Tremendous athlete.

But he came into the league at a time where shooting was becoming a far more important part of the game than raw athleticism.
And John Wall was just never a great shooter.

He's the kind of guy who would have been an MVP candidate in the 1990s or early 2000s when you could dominate a less fluid game with 1 on 1 attacks.

Him and Boogie went out bad. Which sports wasn't like that.

I have a question though, maybe it was the media but do y'all think they got humbled because of their attitudes?

I felt each got chances, more-so Cousins, but tbh both were inefficient volume scorers. Wall was in an unfortunate spot in HOU bc we were moving in a youth direction, but even then 21ppg on 18 shots with 40/31/79 splits? Or with LAC, 11ppg on 10 shots with 40/30/68 splits?

Not really worth keeping for either team, esp if he was going to feel a type of way about racking up DNPs.

With Cousins, he played for HOU, LAC, MIL, DEN all in a 2-year span... with the lasting image of him being a near altercation with his own teammate (Will Barton?) on the DEN bench in a playoff game... next year DEN axed him, brought in DeAndre Jordan, and DJ been with them ever since, collecting paychecks. I think that easily could've been Cousins but he just couldn't help himself f'ing up the bag.
