Also folks keep saying they were cheap and that is the reason Chris Tucker won't do another movie.

Noooo Chris Tucker ain't wasn't doing another movie cause he could be paid millions to do rolls like in Rush Hour.

Chris doesn't even like hollywood. That dude doesn't even really do movies. Once he found something to pimp and make good money off of and doing little work he ran with that. Which I don't blame him at all.

Trust if Friday could pay Chris 30 mill he would be back playing the role of smokey. But they don't have a budget like that for a movie who at the most on a rated R black cast movie that will make about 80 mill at the most.

I remember hearing on seeing Chris Tucker talking about 20 mil a film or some shyt LOL....

Like it's been said before, Friday was trying to be a classic... It just became one on its own.....

It had a major studio distributing it!! NEW LINES CINEMA

Friday gave him national exposure which made him so much more money. It was a smart career decison. Movie could have flopped as well.

Next, do you ngas know how many people are behind the cameras? Like, just watch the end credits. At least 200 people were hired to help make Friday. And guess what.....all them ngas had to get paid as well.

3.5 mill is a lot for a indie budget....I'm guessing most of it came out of cubes pockets ...

yeah they're usually have a budget of 500k to 1MM TODAY and this was in the 90's. I'd say 6k was a lot for a role in an indie film was a lot back then. The chunk of their costs probably went into production and legal fees for music
