This spending is believable. Couple of things:

1. Depp only flies privately, but works a lot out of the US. Those are expensive flights.
2. He gives money to family recklessly and has a team full of leeches. He never says no.
3. He's a paranoid druggie.
4. Child support probably kicking his ass.
5. Amber Heard finessed him.
6. Business managers finessed him.
7. He is one of those people who believes he can never be broke because there is always another payday around the corner (and he's sort of right). He has 3 more Fantastic Beasts sequels coming and probably another Pirates of the Caribbean at some point.
