Are you not counting the media in this statement? They're cheerleading this cat to no end. I was listening to Rich Eisen podcast this past week and someone said, with no shame at all, that manziel was the greatest college football player in history and none of the other cats really disagreed. When you got the media spouting that insanity then easily misled fans outside of cleveland are going to believe it.

On Sunday, it was his shoes.

Manziel took to the practice field Sunday morning, the second official day of Cleveland Browns training camp, wearing bright yellow Nikes.

By the time practice started around 9:45 a.m., he'd changed into another pair of predominantly orange shoes, more in line with team colors. Manziel never left the practice field; an equipment manager handled the swap.

After practice, Browns head coach Mike Pettine fielded two questions about Manziel's attention-grabbing shoes and subsequent change. Pettine didn't provide many details but said players are required to wear team-issued gear and that Manziel isn't the first player in this camp who had to make a last-second change...

Manziel has done nothing since being drafted to warrant getting 1st string reps at this point. Coaching staff is doing the team a HUGE disservice by taking 1st string reps away from Hoyer considering the team has a new coach and new OC. Hoyer is obviously better than Manziel, to the point national media guys are even commenting on it.
