exactly...if you can tell someone is financially irresponsible why would you want to share ANYTHING with them lol

of course I would share an account with my husband if we are sharing a home ...the bills...and investments why the hell would we have separate accounts?

perhaps if people stopped fukcing for lust and looks they could get a chance to know who they are trying to marry instead of realizing after they are married that the person they are with is about to kill their credit

I do not have this issue...I love going to the spa once a month...but you think I am going to skip paying some bills to go one month? nope I make sure all my bills are paid...and my needs are met before my wants...and if I have a month where extra expenses come up I sacrifice my spa trips...and any other things I do not need...

A portion of both paychecks for bills.

A portion for savings.

But both should have access to money.

Me and my wife have our own bank accounts. We have a joint savings account that we both put money into each month. Then we pay our share of bills out of our own accounts.

I bet you had separate houses as well so why live together then? the point of getting married is to become one...it shows lack of trust imo...and there is nothing wrong with keeping your personal accounts if that is what you choose to do but why not get a joint account as well?
