I don't even believe Smith was the one who put in the call to actually leak the emails, but I do believe someone did it on his behalf to help save his job as NFLPA. Some people think that the NFL did it because they view Smith as a pushover and that they can get their way compared to if he was replaced.

The timing is what makes me skeptical about the sincerity of the report.
