Decent move. Some Piston folk wanted teletovic who's only averaging 500k more than leuer in the contract and is 3 years older than Jon with similar stats.


If you really wanna do per 36 #'s on him vs Ryan Anderson.. Leuer is the much better value. Add in Stan being the coach and that automatically bumps a player up a notch or two.

Expect Leuer to only stay 2 years until it's Ellenson time..This is a great stop gap in the meantime.


Aron Baynes (whos very underrated in backup c terms) has a player option after this season. Expect them to sign a Thomas Robinson type and make a move to trade baynes before the deadline.


Pistons have approx 9 mill left to do something else. (absorb a contract)

It's amazing how people on here have never seen a guy so they assume he's complete garbage. Whenever Leuer got time to play he was balling and his three was deadly when he was on. He's a poor man's Ryan Anderson in a way(at half the price that's great and I'd say his defense is better) and he'll be a good fit alongside Drummond to help space the floor. They also need bench players and he's certainly that.

Ellenson is only 19, he wont be ready for a few years and the Pistons want to improve on what they did this season and can't rely on a rookie to be their first or 2nd big off the bench.
