See, you said nothing unreasonable here. But, that legislation you speak of is the exact sort of thing that these politicians that REPRESENT the manufacturers don't want and delude thecoli into thinking they don't want.
I was reasonable from jump street. I mentioned straw purchases in my very first post on this thread. The entire conversation is messy. Jon Stewart throws out a 50k figure for gun deaths when only 20k are homicides. Jon Stewart then brings up guns making it difficult to for cops, when have never been friends of the black community. Look at the origins of Qualified Immunuty. It was created by SCOTUS to stop black people during the civil rights movement from suing cops for overlooking violence from racists like the KKK. Even MLK jr filed for a CCW.
There's reducing gun violence and there is reducing homicides. They should be one in the same, but most anti-gun nuts pretend they arent the same when stats dont back up their arguments.
For historical data on homicides in UK you can find them
HERE. Uk gun bans started in the late 80s, but by 1997, they banned nearly all guns. If you look at the stats homicides went stayed the same or went up until 2005, then it drops off. If you look at US historical homicide data
HERE, you will see a steady decline in overall homicides as well despite a trending relaxing of gun laws.
The US has plenty of gun regulations like background checks and 7 day waiting periods. Most simply aren't being used properly. The Virginia Tech shooter should have been stopped by the background check, yet he became the WOAT school shooter. I am not the typically white gun advocate. I look at things from a black perspective as Blacks have a long history of gun ownership and a lot of gun laws were inacted to keep us down. Thr Mulford Act of California was drafted with help by the NRA and signed by Ronald Reagan, a Republicam, to limit the use and ownership of guns by Black Panthers, who used them to protect their own streets.
