Jon Stewart needs to become the face of progressives in the US and I challenge any coli corporate bootlicker to refute his assertions here

Ok, so... here's my problem. I like Jon Stewart. I think he speaks eloquently on the ills of unchecked capitalism. However.

Stewart and his brother Lawrence, who was previously the chief operating officer of NYSE Euronext (parent company of the New York Stock Exchange),

:patrice: I just can't square it.

It's possible to believe in financial prosperity whilst also having the integrity and decency to advocate for socialised programmes and
checking corporate greed. some millionaires have gone on record to demand for higher taxes for high earners like themselves

He would never run for President.

He doesn’t want that job.

Even though he has a good chance of winning.

There’s a famous saying somewhere that those who want to rule are least qualified to do it. It’s probably true and explains why we end up with such poor leaders. The job itself tends to attract the vain and megalomaniacs.

Sam Sedar, there is nobody more “all around” knowledgeable, or a better communicator. Jon had a run where he was unstoppable, but unfortunately at this point, he loves the smell of his own farts, too much.

Sam Seder puts fear in a bunch of these right winger hearts including jimmy dore.

I'm sure he's already one of the faces of progressives, the show does well and he's a celebrity

Doesn't have much impact on policy though since establishment Democrats and Republicans will never seriously attempt any of the things he talks about.
Living in a major metro area on the east coast most people I know in real life agree with Bernie and AOC ideas. But due to "electability", the fact candidates get positioned in the primary by the more conservative midwest and southern caucuses voting earlier, and superdelegates ... we understand it's almost impossible for a real progressive to make it to the nomination and settle for voting for the lesser of two evils.

You reyling on a comedian to speak for your bullshyt issues.

Comedians speak a lot more sense than these politicians because they don’t need to worry about re-election.

Jon Stewart, Chris Rock, Chappelle and Bill Burr (just to name a few) would ether these politicians in a debate and make them look stupid.

I want you to think about that. I'm not even gonna roast you, I just want you to really, really ponder what you said. According to you, just about anyone could hop on stage in front of a crowd and break down societal ills in such a way that everyone watching and listening to you is amused to the point they are willing to pay?

You could do that?

Not necessarily. Families can have differing opinionw or even fall out. For example, anderson cooper also takes extremely liberal stances and advocates for social welfare like Stewart, despite Anderson being a memeber of the distinguished , right wing family of Cornelius Vanderbuilt.

:skip: I know, and I don't trust him either. But I appreciate his service.

Pointing out where the magician hides the rabbit is more effective than becoming one yourself if you want to expose fraudulent performers. He'd be railroaded as a politician cause you have to play along and compromise to get anything done before the weight of said compromises turn you into what you wanted to avoid in the first place,I feel he understands this.
