I can only see John Oliver taking over the reigns and keeping the show gully...
John's already got the best gig out of all of them on HBO. And honestly, his show took over the game for me last year. The format allowing him to really go in on a single subject for 10+ minutes really kills it

But Stewart's campaign coverage was absolutely unmatched. I wish he would stick around for 2016.

The ball is with Larry Wilmore now :salute:

True but I remember the brief stint that John hosted The Daily Show when Jon went to go make his Rosewater movie and I was like ":patrice:If Jon Stewart ever leaves then he's got a good person to replace him" and hopefully at least for me that will be the case. Let John Oliver do the same thing he does o HBO expect we'll get it 4 - 5 nights a week instead of just the one day a week.

Damn, this sucks

Perfect replacement is already on HBO:sadcam:

Not sure any of the remaining anchors are ready to take over:patrice:

They probably will try and find a female host

I have been watching 'The Daily Show' on an irregular basis since early 2000's, and I watch it maybe a few times a month, sometimes just the first 10 minutes…I always laugh and I am always glad I watched, I was watching last night, he was going in on Brian Williams, and I thought sooner or late he's going to leave the show, he's been doing the forever. Sad to see him go, I think he is irreplaceable in many ways….but respect and salute to Jon Stewart, always a voice of reason and comedy.

Too bad Stewart didn't give Comedy Central enough of a heads up where they could have worked something out with John Oliver. He was the perfect replacement.

I'm not liking Larry Wilmore. They need to fix this panel idea, cause it's not working. I haven't seen it since that Vaxxer episode so I don't know if it's gotten better, but they need a consistent panel for a few days. The way it's currently set up, with the rotating panels, only getting a few minutes will not work long time. It probably doesn't help that he also has to follow up Colbert.
