Jon Vilma suing Rogar Goodell

New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma has on Vilma filed suit in Eastern District (federal) court in Louisiana today. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell a defendant.

Vilma claims he was defamed by Goodell's public comments regarding him (Vilma) and the Saints alleged bounty system.

that will never, ever happen. Was reading something from Peter King a few weeks back about this (Bountygate), and he brought up a good point: he was talking to Roger before the lockout, and he (King) brought up something about the players suing the league. Goodell just looked at him and said: "you know, we have pretty good lawyers too".

The NFL won then (the lockout), and they'll win this too. This lawsuit will be a mosquito on his (Goodell's) neck.

If anything it just pushing the NFL show the evidence, thats all. If they refused, Vilma got a right to sue for defamation.

A federal judge in Minneapolis handed NFL players a key ruling Tuesday in their fight to strip the league of $4 billion in television revenue they contend was unfairly and illegally secured as a way for owners to survive a lockout that could begin by the end of the week.

Nfl asked the judge to keep the case sealed. Nfl cut a check to the player union worth hundreds of millions of dollars
