I will give you this, but I won't be surprised if he pops back up eventually. I also think a tiny bit of homophobia plays into his case. Abusing women is one thing, abusing men....
And, maybe Spacey is just no longer good for business. Just like Weinstein. He got away with it because he was good for business. Now, he isn't.

He has a movie coming out and he's making the rounds for promotion like every actor does.
I think people overrated his trial. It was only a misdemeanor and the lasting image people have from it was him running from her. No one really gave a damn so once a verdict was reached Disney had to let him go for PR purposes but that was it. Most people wanted to see him act again so he just had to wait it out til Magazine Dreams got distribution.
The audio RS leaked was already known since before the trial. There were transcripts out so no one cared because it wasn't news.
Hollywood is full of fukked up people so the public doesn't hold things against them. An athlete would've been in trouble because their brands are marketed to kids and sports leagues are more image conscious. An actor is a junkie or abusive they can lay low for a year and it's forgotten once they have a great performance.
