could you imagine what a story that would’ve been today?

Chuck Daly could’ve easily said “I’m not coaching if my HOF player isn’t on the team.”

Said fukk em the dream is still a dream without Zeke

They played their game and Mike played his.

I can’t imagine the anguish when he got the call he wasnt getting the call

“Something something Boston…”

But Detroit was shaking hands when they was beating Chicago lmaooooooooo

Lunacy I tell ya :wow:

Above the fray.
Meanwhile Boston never got one for doing the exact same thing to the Pistons. That's how the torch was passed, so Zeke and the Pistons continued tradition. :yeshrug:
Disingenuous. Pistons got swept on their home court. Isiah organized the walkoff to deliberately walk past the Bulls bench on the way to the locker room.
Your eyes will tell you the same thing.

Deflecting about bu bu bu but the Celtics has nothing to do with the Pistons team leader staging what he staged.

Maybe some of ya'll don't know what the word inscure means.

Insecure
adjective
  1. Not sure or certain; doubtful.
  2. Inadequately guarded or protected; unsafe.
  3. Not firm or fixed; unsteady.
Unsafe, unsure of, doubtful, guarded, unsteady.

In the context of basketball, what does Michael Jordan have to be doubtful, unsure or feeling unsafe about? Not a motherfukking thing.

Him not fukking with Chuck, Pip or using grudges (made up or otherwise) to fuel his compeitive fire is a seperate issue.

The whole purpose at being really good or great is to strive to be the best and not take second fiddle.

Not being a BETA and settling

That should be celebrated and not criticized or hated on.

Guys that openly say “*Im not as good as” or “so and so is better than me” should be the ones y’all be calling insecure and trashing.

You do know Dr J said he was better than Jordan and still feels that way.

Matter fact there are a few old heads from the 70s and 60s who said MJ ain’t the GOAT and sited players from their era or further back.

I respect the players that strive for it and claim it

These niqqas In here dont get it.

The Bulls running to Stern was straight p*ssy.
Call MJ petty, etc etc, but to act like the Bulls were the only team complaining to David Stern about other teams is hilarious:mjlol:
The NBA actually implemented a rule in 1987 trying to make isolation pretty much illegal because MJ was unstoppable in isolation the previous season (averaged 37.1):pachaha:
They didn't implement that rule out of thin air. Teams were complaining to David Stern (including Detroit I bet) about it so they tried to address it but of course it didn't work.

Consider a Washington Post write-up, which went as far as mentioning the Bulls’ star by name.

“The Competition Committee did announce the results of its weekend discussions. The most substantial — in fact the only — rule change involves isolation offenses,” Anthony Cotton wrote. “There has been a growing propensity among coaches to move three men above the top of the key, thus clearing the way for two-man games or individual forays like those of Chicago’s Michael Jordan. According to Rod Thorn, the league’s vice president in charge of operations, those isolation tactics were ‘getting away from what the game is about.'”

Elsewhere, a New York Times piece was literally headlined “Challenges for Jordan: New League Rule and League Role.”

The point was further driven home a few paragraphs into the story.

“A new N.B.A. rule this season prohibits teams from putting more than two men on the side of the court away from the ball below the top of the foul circle. A violation would result in the loss of possession,” Sam Goldaper wrote. “Almost as soon as the new rule was announced, it became known as the ‘Michael Jordan Rule,’ because of Jordan’s masterly one-on-one play.”

Bob Cousy even provided a particularly biting quote, taking issue with modern basketball and throwing a bit of shade in MJ’s direction.

“Coaches with mediocre teams, who felt they were unable to compete in the five-man game, would isolate two or three of their best players and let them play schoolyard basketball on one side of the floor,” the Celtics legend said. “I guess some people are calling it the Jordan Rule because when you think of one-on-one basketball, his name immediately comes to mind.”

I can only imagine how much shyt Bron would get for keeping XYZ player off the Olympic team :russ: .

MJ and Zeke didn't get along because they both had that cutthroat personality. Magic was an Alpha but he's more like Bron where they try to make friends and be popular. The Homecoming Kings.

MJ is petty as fukk but Zeke might be worse...which is why they can't stand each other. Jordan used to dudes soft-shoeing around him but Zeke is so petty he just won't do it.

Deflecting? I’m setting the record straight. Did you even watch the bad boy pistons play? Would you say players like Dumars and Thomas were the same kind of cheap shot artists as Laimbeer was? So why would Jordan essentially say a player like Dumars was an undeserving champion?

There is no way you even hopped with this take.

Where is the lie? He said that shyt. Even cried to the commissioner. Kevin McHale thought the bulls were crybaby bytches for that.

Notice this comes from a fan of that brand of penitentiary ball. That Mike and the bulls also had the gentlemanly sweep into their gone fishing for the summer gear.

Miss me with this clandestine knick fan loser Homer shyt.

Another reason to pick Stockton over Zeke at the time.

Chuck Daly knew zeke had a gimp hand.

similar to Mr wonderful trying to comeback in the nwa.
after listening to hogun and never getting surgery on his arm.
Which ruined Mr wonderful visually. Plus completely ruined any ability. for mr wonderful to ever see a main event again by proxy.

Zeke would not even have passed the physical. Even his own coach.
Chuck Daly knew he was done done son dun....

All that zeke revision needs to stop. As nikkaz getting selective memory on time periods to revisit. When I can revisit. A period zeke does not ever want brought back up. So zeke need to gon sit tha fukk down somewhere. fukk'n sexual assault in the workplace missing his mustache face ass nikka. Never trust no black man who never in legacy.
was known for having a no mustache.

Never trust no nikka without no mustache,...period.
Zeke sit down breh.

It is ova over.

Stockton was averaging 17/14 with 3 steals on 60% TS the year the Dream Team selections were made. Zeke was 16/9/2 on 51% TS. Stockton was in his prime. Isiah wasn't. Isiah is better historically, but not at that point. Giannis got outplayed by PJ Washington in a game last season. One single game doesn't determine the better player.

Larry and Magic weren't there on merit, they were there for what they meant to the game historically. Isiah wasn't on their level in that regard :yeshrug:

Larry may not have been, but Magic was there on merit. He was coming off the 90-91 season when he led the Lakers to a finals appearance and was regarded as the 2nd best player in the NBA.

10 of the 12 players for the Dream Team were announced in Sept 91’, before Magic announced (or even knew) he had HIV.

Insecure people hold on to perceive slates all the time. Some of the most accomplished people are insecure. You act as if insecurity means failure. He drive certain people in to me, that’s too Michael Jordan is

I hate a theory, or belief, that insecurity (or a chip on the shoulder) drives some people to reach the highest levels. I mean, most people won’t achieve much, but certain people, like high level pro athletes, it drives them. The Jerry Rice Sportscentury/Football Life episodes go into it.

MJ will be on his death bed still talking about “I didn’t make varsity as a sophomore”
