Baseball and the NFL have been around longer, but they don't have one of these stupid lists that exclude some of the greatest players that have played in their leagues. You can't use that list to compare players or say one is better than the other. By your logic, Worthy is better than LeBron because Worthy is on that list.

And stop this nonsense about worthy being a better scorer. Worthy never averaged over 21ppg a game despite having the FGA to do so. Worthy's highest scoring ppg was 21.4ppg, he took about 18 FGA to get that numbers. Pierce's best scoring season, he took 18fga to score 27ppg.

Pierce was a better shooter and scorer, better driver, better passer, better rebounder, better ball handler, yet Worthy was better? :heh:

go back and look at my posts, I didn't use the list to say he was better...I used the list to say he was better than yall trying to give the cat credit for in this thread...when comparing them, I only compared their games

as for scoring: range plays a part in that...pierce takes 3s regularly, while worthy didn't...so of course he gonna have a higher avg, but that doesn't mean he was a better scorer....cause worthy actually has a better shooting percentage...anyway, which I already said he had more range and better handles....rebounding, defense go to worthy...passing bout even...

Only Lebron and prime Tracy were better small forwards than Pierce during the 2000's.

No SF scored more points or grabbed more rebounds than Pierce in the 00s. If we're talking about accumulation and what they did in that decade, then Pierce is hard to beat. I thought Pierce was better than Machrady, but that's besides the point because Macgrady fell of the later half of the decade.

Some things you said in the past 2 days

- Melo is a top 3 player
- Kobe was an elite player in 98
- McGrady was better than Duncan, Garnett and Lebron
- 06 Kobe is better than 92 Jordan

Most of your opinions on basketball are just fukking terrible.

1. Last year Melo was top 3. I mean he finished top 3 in MVP voting so it looks like most basketball writers agreed with me and NOT you. If anything, the opinion Melo was top 3 last year is not crazy by any stretch. I had it as: LeBron, Kobe, then Melo last year. With Westbrook and Durant rounding out the top 5.

2. Kobe was "elite" in the sense that he was better than Eddie Jones. I never said he was like a top 10 player or anything like that.

3. 03 McGrady was SPECIAL. Just my opinion. Kobe also said as much when he said this year that Mac was the toughest dude he ever played against. I know there are a number of people that share that opinion so its not like its something crazy thats totally out there. I mean he averaged 32/6/5 that year. Add that to the fact he was deadly from anywhere on the court, could drain 3s like it was nothing, hit the mid-range shot, and drive into the lane and finish with the best of them. I mean the only thing Prime LeBron does better than Prime McGrady is that he's a better passer and tries harder on D. McGrady (as evidenced by his time in Toronto) could play stellar D when he wanted. McGrady's problem was always that he couldn't stay healthy. If you could guarantee me that T-Mac would never get hurt, I'd take him over LeBron in a heartbeat. Only reason I don't have him over Kobe is cause he lacked Kobe's killer instinct. In terms of pure basketball ability, however, there is no player I've ever seen that is better than a PRIME AND HEALTHY T-Mac. He had all of Kobe's moves in a 6'9" frame and was more athletic. That right there is SCARY!!!

4. I was just messing with jplaya on that one. I have no idea how Prime Kobe would do against Prime Jordan since I never saw him play. And for the lames out there who are ready to start posting stats or youtube highlights, I don't judge players based on stats or highlights. I know good and well from watching players that play in the league right now and put up great numbers (i.e. Kevin Love) ain't enough. You need to watch full games/seasons to make judgments about players that are pretty close.

Lol why is anyone here telling Jordan he's wrong. They asked him a simple question and he gave a simple answer.

The man even said "gimme this team and I could not lose". I think the guy knows what he's talkin about.

Yeah, I had to throw this dude on ignore.

You're an idiot if you think being one of the 50 greatest players means anything. That list was made way too early. So James Worthy is one of the 50est greats but LeBron, Garnett, Duncan aren't?

Dude said Worthy was better mid range :russ:

he is right, Worthy's was better

I'm taking:

LeBron James at PG
Kobe Bryant at SG
Larry Bird at SF
Dirk Nowitzki at PF
Shaquille O'Neal at C

I think my team would beat every team listed:yeshrug:
