I didn't watch him play live, but I watched a lot of playoff games from the 80's. All those games are on youtube. I think people tend to overrate players from that era. They aren't as fast, quick or athletic and they don't have the moves that the players of today have. I think James Worthy would be a good player in today's league, but not one of the best. Watching old tapes of him he didn't impress me at all.

A player like Garnett would help Jordan out a lot more than a James worthy.

This man right here also wasn't as fast, quick or athletic as anyone in the league.

*MJ strolls into practice with some black concords, ripped jumpman jeans and a cohibra hanging off his lip*

*patrick ewing sees MJ, sighs and acts like he doesn't see him and quickly frowns*

MJ: "Wassup Pat, Al, how ya'll" *MJ has a smile on his face*

Al "Good mr jordan how are you"

*Patrick moans under his breath*

MJ "what's that pat, were you telling Al of the time where i yammed it on your ass in the playoffs, swept you in the series, beat you the next 2 years in the playoffs, then beat you again in 97, and not to mention we won titles in all those years"

*Patrick has a ghost look in his face and continues his lesson*

*MJ smiles and walks away, and tells gerald henderson he's about to bust his ass*

I'd like to see coli posters come up with a 5 man team using any players Jordan didnt pick to try and beat his squad :mjpls:
Gilbert Hibichi Arenas, Bradley Beal, Larry Hughes that one year, Chris Webber, Kwame Brown
And while I'd rather have Tuff Juice at the 3, I just think Larry Hughes sounded funnier :manny:

Let's forget the fact that he's overrated for a second. There's about 10 SFs or PFS that I would take over James Worthy in my "beat this starting 5" team. Jordan only picked him because he was from his era and you know it. :camby:
OR maybe because he actually played with and against him many times and really knows he good he was? As opposed to you?

So fans can't have opinions? You know how fukking stupid you sound? Don't ever quote me again, fakkit.
LOL @ this kid getting emotional over Mike's opinion of someone he played with and then calling other people stupid. What an ass.

its amazing how many ppl are picking shaq over the dream ..kareem is understandable..anyways mike has explained why he fukks with the dream in the past

If I had to pick a center [for an all-time best team], I would take Olajuwon. That leaves out Shaq, Patrick Ewing. It leaves out Wilt Chamberlain. It leaves out a lot of people. And the reason I would take Olajuwon is very simple: he is so versatile because of what he can give you from that position. It's not just his scoring, not just his rebounding or not just his blocked shots. People don't realize he was in the top seven in steals. He always made great decisions on the court. For all facets of the game, I have to give it to him.

I wouldnt go with either Shaq or Kareem, both ball dominant big man who will demand it a lot. Someone who will just play D and get boards is a better fit. There are enough scorers on the roster already.

Saw an article on this, creates completely different team to challenge Jordan's pickup team. All hypothetical obviously but still an interesting take on it.

Not sure about Russell in the middle but LeBron, Kobe, Bird and Duncan....that's a tough outing!
