Except he didn't have these averages/shooting percentages against Durant, he had them against the Warriors as a whole, and that's before we take into account he conserved most of his energy for offense. I fail to see how his box score averages in a 5v5 full-court environment, has any direct relevance to this argument of 2v2. And why quote his rebounds, as if a large percentage of them weren't uncontested or they have anything to do with Durant's defense? Why quote his assists, as if has any correlation to Durant's defense?A 32yo Lebron James just averaged 34-12-10 against Durant on 56% shooting and 39% threes in the FINALS.
And that was with DPOY Draymond Green behind him and Finals MVP Iggy spelling him. Hell, in the biggest possession of the series it was Draymond, not Durant, guarding Bron.
But Lebron would struggle against Pippen...while the career 16ppg scorer would be "killing" 7' Kevin Durant in the post.

This isnt an open floor game and while I'd say Lebron is faster than Pip I wouldnt definitively say he's quicker. And you clearly havent seen prime Pip and just how great of a defender he is. Lebron is not more skilled at scoring than Pip is even if he is a better scorer but the gap of defense the others shot is much larger in Pips favor.
More athletic, sure. Problem is Pippen is without a doubt an entire tier better on defensive skills so whatever real advantage Lebron would have falls short due to the type of game this is, his lack of post skill to use his size and his inability to do it against Pippen even if he did.
