OP definitely fukked this up.

This thread would have done numbers in the Booth, or even the Coliseum.

No idea why he handed this gold over to the cacs and females in TLR.

What makes Drake bougie? Because he's light-skinned?

Because he had a job on a tv show as a teenager?

Right now they're all millionaires, what makes Meek more real ... because he talks about the struggle while also talking about things damaging to the black community? I just don't understand your point. People who grew up with little can likely relate to both Meek and Drake, for different reasons, so it makes sense why some would gravitate towards either one.

You know who has spoken on inner city ills articulately, as well as race in America? Childish Gambino. I'm siding with him and dismissing EVERYthing Meek Mills has rapped about.
Meek is more real because he raps about killing people and dealing drugs. He appeals to the worst conditions of the black struggle. The desire to get rich so he can laugh at all the nikkas who didnt make it, fukk their bytches and kill whoevers hating

I didn't know which way to go with it, as it could have been booth or coli material, so i settled for the middle ground in tlr

My bad, i dont normally make many threads on this site, and i didnt take the audience into consideration

I actually am surprised because this move

This was just a hip hop thing where beef and battling is apart of the culture.. Why's this multi million dollar company escalating things? What do they have to gain from this?

No other companies beef with each other.. Nike- Reebok.. Coke- Pepsi.. Apple - Android.. It was weird when the mayor of Toronto got involved, and it's weird the Jordan Brand felt the need to get involved too.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next move is a violent one, because they trying back Meek into a corner just for telling the truth.

hmmmmm...you making a lot of sense....even beyond just being a music industry plant, Drake is a well planned CORPORATE MARKETING TOOL created specifically to sway the hip hop demographic towards favoring certain products...of course with all of this corporate backing he's winning awards and getting connected with all of the best writers, producers, ghostwriters, reference track makers, etc without having to lift a finger himself as this was more than likely planned years ahead by these corporations and the higher ups n the industry-possibly even before Drake existed..... he just happened to be the guy capable of carrying out the mission....
well almost before he got exposed :youngsabo:

Drake won the battle; his fanbase will ensure that.

But he lost that respect as an MC permanently. The tone will shift. He doesn't get to be compared to Kendrick or Cole anymore. And definitely not compared to Jay Z or Nas. He lost the war.

Y'all can keep the other shyt. As long as you concede that, we good. :yeshrug:

The same people who are trying to removes Drake's status as a "real MC" never respected him as one in the first place. Drake literally hasn't lost anything.

Maybe it's because I'm younger that Drake being exposed means so much to me.

I actually did respect him. How could I not, he's top 3 of the only generation I really know. Well, he was.
