I look at Anderson Paak's Malibu situation as a good example to up and coming RnB/Alt/Soul artists

Malibu bricked when it dropped but that album had legs and lots of real people were talking about dude, and him touring heavily and killing live sets helped accentuate his brand. If Dre ever sanctions his next album, it'll do much better.

She hasn't really had much exposure at all when you think about it

she got a few, but this is a big issue with her music IMO. Drake needs to go ahead and try to sing here and hook her into a hybrid of the OVO sound and contemporary soul. SZA got linked with TDE, and although Cole is sitting on this chick Ari Lennox, her EP prior to signing with him was flames and I got faith they’ll have her cook up some heat even if it does t blow....cuz none of his artists have drizzy might as well get him a chick in his crew too

That might be the wave. I just know that she needs to be reintroduced to the masses somehow and rebrand herself. Because after listening to that song I posted, she's actually talented. I think most people just see her looks and don't take her seriously as an artist though. I've seen everyone from soundcloud rappers to major artists leave thirsty ass comments on her Twitter and IG but not one of them nikkas reposted her shyt when it came out, lol.

People think that a lot of YouTube view or social media follows equals record sales and that’s just not true. Maybe she’ll get a slow burn and blow up later
