I agree 100%.
But why draw the parallels? I get you're trying to diminish dudes actions, but he dug his own grave
Dudes will do anything to absolve the athlete
I think dudes need to look into dude's career and put this into perspective for a minute.
- Got busted at Baylor in 2010 with weed in the whip with his boy and his boy got KICKED OFF the team b/c it was his 2nd violation. Gordon got suspended.
- In 2011, he got suspended indefinitely at Baylor for failing a drug test. Transfers to Utah and doesn't play a single game. Has to hit the Supplemental Draft, but he declares too late and has to hit the 2012 Supplemental Draft.
- Played a full season his rookie year and ends up getting suspended AGAIN for two games in his 2nd season for violating the substance-abuse policy.
Kid serves his two games and leads the fukking league in receiving yards without having played an entire season....and gets popped AGAIN for driving while impaired!!
He's already gone through sitting out an entire season and knows that it cost him.
He's seen his friend get kicked off the squad. He's been suspended TWICE already and he doesn't get it? C'mon now, breh.

I don't think the Browns will release him. Dude was puttin up Jerry Rice #'s in his first 2 seasons. They aint gonna let that talent go easily. They will probably put him in a rehab program or something

"Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Gordon landed in Stage III of the program last year as part of a negotiated two-game suspension for the use of cough syrup that contained codeine. Once in Stage III, a player never leaves. And he must pass up to 10 drug tests per month.
According to the source, Gordon has passed at least 70 drug tests."
And from what I understand its not his 3rd time failing a test. Its his second, the first was for codeine from cough syrup.

Josh Gordon through his first two years has 137 receptions, 2451 yards and 14 TD's. For comparison's sake only four other players had at least 130 receptions, 2400 yards and 10 TD's through their first two years in the NFL: Randy Moss, Jerry Rice, Torry **** and A.J. Green.
Now I guess you could say it's arbitrary numbers but fact is Gordon has had a record-setting start to his career. Needs to get his shyt together.

Probably. Weed is legal in Washington but Seahawk players have still gotten suspended for smoking weed.
