How would you describe him? Anti-establishment? Anti-American? You can't deny he has a lot of clout with the left (although many are distancing themselves due to his Trump apologism)
He's a heterodox centrist. That's really it. He's suspicious of too-much state power, in favor of some social services but not too much, anti-imperialist sometimes, critical of both parties, was pro-Iraq war, etc. He doesn't really have an ideology, just a hodge-podge of beliefs, sometimes they're in conflict.

Bruh they will easily get behind him. Those white suburban women who detest Trump will gobble this image up. I'm telling y'all the clean-cut version of Trump that everyone has been warning us about is staring at us right in the face.

I was talking about Chris Christie.

I agree w/ you. I've been saying for some time it will be this guy and DeSantis w/ Hawley as VP.

He is a journalist who gets in his own way more often than not. He has good ideals for journalism that gets destroyed by his own delusions of grandeur.
But he is not a leftist and I feel he would be disgusted being called that.

He’s always talking about corporations. To my knowledge, he’s not fighting for a minimum wage increase and he supported Trump’s tax cuts. How does he plan to hold corporations accountable? :mjpls:

Make it make sense.

Republicans shouldn't the WH for the rest of our lifetimes. I made the thread because I view him as a serious threat if Biden/Harris aren't bold. Hell, even if they are bold, he might still be a problem if he can consolidate Trump voters while maintaining broad appeal with suburban voters.
I think any Republican will win in 2024 if Biden/Harris aren’t transformative. But like I’ve said for a while, most of you brehs say you don’t want transformative things and get disgusted with bold ideas. It’s why Biden became President, based on what I’ve read in HL.

People who say they're socialists, communists, demsocs/socdems, anarchists, syndicalists, communalists = leftists
People who say they're not any of those things = not leftists

These are elementary school concepts that you and Nap are struggling with.

Under what guise are you defending Hawley's actions?

He plans on holding them accountable by tax cuts to corporations and giving lip-service to breaking up monopolies
