Just plain hate.........Personally I have no problem with Macklemore..his music is above average at best...but it is NO WAY terrible like people been saying. I mean shyt...nikkas vouch for Chief Keef, French Montana, and other weak ass nikkas that have NO message in there music except getting drunk, killing nikkas, fukking bytches and a whole bunch of materalistic shyt. This white boy decides to rap about positive shyt and y'all call him corny...

my nikka...Macklemore cannot ride a beat to save his life...that is why he is wack as fukk to me. This is rap...his music sounds like someone reciting poetry over a beat (and not the incredible kind of poetry). His content isn't unique...it's been done before and being positive doesnt give you pass for being a terrible rapper. Those rappers you mentioned are all garbage too...but at least they understand the concept of riding a beat instead of running away from it. He is real close to silk the shocker territory in terms of riding a beat...it's that bad.

Someone needs to tell that nikka to start writing to beats instead of using rhymes he wrote last week on the first beat he hears

Like i said in another thread...Kendrick getting snubbed by Macklemore of all people was the IDEAL turn of events...between the furthering of kendrick's faux-underdog storyline segueing to him becoming a rap smark martyr via the Grammy Screw-Job and Cacklemore etherings from various decent common sensed people across the world, it was all for the best...certainly a more entertaining outcome than had Kendrick actually won, cause let's be the honest...the k dot circle jerk that would've resulted would've been boring, it's been going fullspeed already for going on two years...everybody gets to paint him as martyr and do it all over again for the 2nd album, gives new life to the angle

Got nothing but good things to say about that article, spot on more or less...perfect summation of the innate wackness of Macklemore's music
