Was listening to Joy Division last night again after years, and WOW....can't forget how good these guys were.



Just ahead of it's time.

Technically considered new wave, but they were poppin out punk records that had a melodic and dark touch...
Also had that whole curated Pink Floyd type image and connections with imagery (c/o Peter Saville).

The whole Factory records/Hacienda era was an interesting time musically....JD was the start.

Got into them from watching 24 Hour Party People a decade ago. Which is a docu-drama based on Joy Division/New Order/Happy Mondays/Madchester scene stuff.

Ian Curtis killing it with the dreary vocal style, but aggressive touches.

Listening to this also reminds me of early Husker Du

Can't get over this.

I wish this shyt was mastered bettered. other than that I can't listen to it for a long time, I get much too dreary and depressed. technically good and birthed bands like interpol, editors and shyt so i gotta salute them
