I mean you also have to understand that over the last 50 years, conservatives busted their asses to make sure that corporations are so ubiquitous and insidious that general strikes mean you:
- lose income
- lose healthcare for you AND your family
- generally lose transportation
- lose social capital
- lose sexual capital
- etc.

Back in the day "work" wasn't this all encompassing state of existence. And because of that, social movements are usual killed in the crib. How could you ever have a general strike with over 60% participation when half the US workforce is "at-will" employees?
This shyt been in the works for decades and outside of a bloody revolutions OR some complete internal collapse of the current regime (which is actually likely.) Then IDK....

But it WILL swing the other way. At some point.

General strike might not even be needed. The amount of unemployed people AI will create means that people will seek out community supports like food and rent banks, homeless shelters(remember, over 40% of americans don't even have 1k in emergency funds. Good luck getting a loan to pay your rent when you don't have a job). I'm a HUGE advocate for people donating to these community supports because when shyt hits the fan, it's going to be those people keeping others alive.

And it's in those settings, and with no distractions via social media(can't pay your phone or internet bill if you're unemployed) people will start talking and people will start taking out their frustrations out on the people who caused their pain if they get radicalized in the bread lines, soup kitchens and unemployment offices. Our welfare system is NOT designed to handle over 60 million unemployed showing up out of nowhere. It is not designed to handle millions of seniors whove been let go and can't find a new job but need to pay for medicines that keep them alive.

Americans born after 1945 have only known the kind of peace their parents and grandparents never knew. Add climate change into the mix and all the damage that will be done by natural disasters which states can't respond to because of a lack of federal funding? Yeah if you've got kids you better be prepared to answer the question of why you chose to bring them into the kind of suffering that is about to happen in america.

Forget about companies going out of business from lack of sales, the government won't have enough tax money to bail them out, and foreign investors at this rate will pivot to Asia. Look at Asian stocks right now. That shyt is doing GREAT. Im not describing something that will happen, only an acceleration of what is currently happening. You're in the looting phase of an empire's decline and people from both parties are on their "fukk yall i got mine" energy and trying to make as much money as they can through exploiting their political positions. Again, something that is CURRENTLY happening which will accelerate. Just like the growing homeless, growing debt, growing suicide rate, growing domestic violence rate, growing political violence, growing unemployment, growing preventable deaths.

Better invest in some wood and ceramic companies. The demand for coffins and urns is about to reach an extreme high. Same thing with gig economy companies. Uber is trading at 99 dollars a share as of today. That's up by 161% compared to 5 years ago. The amount of people working for them and doordash(currently trading at 257 a share, up from around 60 dollars a share in 2 years ago) is going to be MASSIVE. These are jobs that can't yet be automated. Amazon factory workers will be automated within the next 10 years. Same with Walmart. They are likely ALREADY doing this as a cost saving measure to fire people so they can eat the cost of the tariffs.

China did something that our government should have done which is to have a firm hand on their banks and private industries. You can make money, you can sell products but you stay in your lane and don't try to interfere with the laws of the country. In america it's the opposite. Our politicians are dependent on donations from the companies they're supposed to be regulating.

So while the Chinese government controls its tech and banking sectors, our tech and banking controls our government. So here we are, with these private companies having the data on everyone and can work hand in glove with their goons in government to get their goals met which include crushing dissent of any kind.

Our businesses are run like feudal societies with kings(CEOS) at the top and peasants(Frontline workers) on the bottom who have no say in the policies (including working conditions and pay) of the places they spend most of their lives in. These CEOs naturally see democracy as an inefficient system compared to what they're used to. You can't have true democracy in a society where people who thrive in undemocratic structures can access the government and twist it into the kind of setting they are used to(authoritarian). If you dont control capitalism, it will turn into authoritarianism. When capitalism fails to deliver and socialism becomes a desirable alternative, capitalism has one final counter: fascism. Your life isn't worse because of decisions made by unelected individuals in board rooms, your life is made worse because of some easily identifiable ethnic or social group. This appeal to group identity as a smoke screen has been successful for so long that they have no reason to believe it won't work this time.

It's crazy how anyone with a basic understanding of history can see the play happening because...it has happened multiple times lol. But it just shows how this country has failed itself with a lack of emphasis on education as a priority in this country. But that was also a part of the larger goal to retain and consolidate power.

I think the worst thing Obama's administration did or didn't do rather is prosecute anyone for the banking fallout. They could've locked 2-3 people up, and it would've curbed all this dumbass financial and tech industry behavior. Now they're looked at as the engines of our economy who can do no wrong, and if we slow them down then we slow the economy down.

Well... maybe the economy SHOULD slow down... because unfortunately now, the only thing slowing this whole totalitarian speed run down will be a total collapse of the economy.

Yeap the whole too big too fail argument was one of the worst things that happened to this country. It was anti capitalism too it's core and essentially they bailed out businesses for failed and terrible practices instead of letting them fail and innovation and efficiency take it's place

They want to act like they’re saving the world when there always has been an insane amount of new breakthroughs by everyone else as well. When you act like it’s all you though you can be the one to “supervise” so you can avoid all the work, which is a big part of what this is about.

Yeap they're too busy looking backwards at how things used to be instead of forwards and adapting to how things are now. They have this idolized view of the hetero wyte male that did all of these amazing things but also conveniently try to ignore all the foul stuff they did to make that happen. As the scales tipped slightly into making things a bit more equitable. They lost their minds because they have to actually compete and it burst the bubble of lies they've told themselves for generations of how great they are. Alot of them are mediocre, lazy, entitled, dumb, and violent. They don't measure up out here and they can't get jobs as easy off the strength of their skin color. But they're too proud to go do the jobs they actually qualify for which is working the very fields they enslaved others to do for them.
