Hmm the norm for the nuggets and Karl is choking in the first round good luck with that cause outside of his bucks run and the wcf that's the norm for him. See I can be salty and throw sour grapes out too :yeshrug: all I know is jr was a big part of us winning games this season . He's our problem let us worry about him

I'll end this on a good note. As someone who has watched JR for a long time. I would like to give some helpful advice to the #Knickstape fans. It would be beneficial for the Knicks not to sign JR to a long term deal. And if James Dolan defies logic which I fully suspect. Than JR's playing time should be limited to the regular season and the coaching staff should not hesitate to pull him off the floor the minute those contested jumpers stop fallin.

well that's just factually incorrect, he made it to the finals with the Sonics and played MJ's Bulls as close as any other team during their dynasty run.

JR will win you plenty of games in the regular season but will wilt under playoff defense/pressure, which is exacerbated by a coach that doesn't hold his players accountable and gives him free rein.

call it sour grapes and try to redirect the conversation to the Nuggets all you want, but you're setting yourself up for yet another spectacular crash and burn in the offseason.

my advice: jettison JR and fully develop Shump and give him more responsibility on the offensive end. he'll be inconsistent at times, but at least he's capable of being productive on the floor when his shot isn't falling.

Your right I meant the sonics but any way my point still stands your coach hasn't accomplished anything since Jordan was playing and couldn't get jr to play this good , can't McGhee to play better/smarter so idk how much he holds anyone accountable . So yeah enjoy flaming out in the first round as per usual . By the way Woodson yells at jr more than anyone so your wrong all around

McGee has actually made great strides in his game, but he still needs to understand that defense doesn't begin and end with blocking shots. his contract is still moveable so if we want to go in another direction we can move him to a team like the Blazers that's desperate for size and could use a young/athletic/durable/high energy big who never causes problems and is a model teammate.

being a fan of a competently run franchise. :ahh:

I'm not to concerned with the 4 years on his contract, because after the 2014-15 season we're shedding all of our major contracts.Any capspace he's taking up then will be almost inconsequential since we'll have so much relief, and any role he has before then won't matter because we'll be in rebuild mode if we haven't won anything. So I'm not worried about his contract past the next two years.

JR affecting Shumperts growth remains to be seen. Even with limited touches, Shumpert has show tremendous growth in just the few months he's been back, and that's without having an offseason to get better. Plus Woodson has show that he's not reluctant to give Shumpert a bigger role in the offense as he gets better. So when he's ready to step up, he'll get his chance. Right now though, he's not close enough to being a reliable scorer that we should jettison JR in favor of. He's a streaky shooter who doesn't finish that well, and we have a small window to win in. Getting rid of JR and hoping Iman develops into the number 2 guy, in less than a year, is a bigger gamble than hoping JR doesn't shyt the bed during the playoffs again imo.

I know JR is a role of the Dice, and after he came back from suspension he was terrible. But I also know that if JR wasn't here and we didn't have his offense, we wouldn't have been a second seed, and that this year he was less of a bonehead than others, and that if he plays ANYTHING like he did during the regular season, we beat the Pacers. Even if losing him is "addition by subtraction" could you then look at our roster and say we can compete for a title? We gotta role the dice and hope he plays like he did during the regular season, hope for a few more breaks too if we want a chance to compete for a title, and we have only a 2 season window to win in, that's our reality.
