if we got jr at 5 mill per yr thatd mean hes making just about the same as novak. sounds like a bargain to me. i could see some teams lurkin in the cut with money willing to give him 8-12 mill per yr. ie, atlanta, plus they got hella strip clubs. jr sees the bigger picture tho so hell prob take a paycut n stay in ny to be closer to home. woodson seems to be having the same troubles he had with atlanta.
with jerry sloan, phil jackson, and a plethora of other obviously better coaches out there u gota think u can have a much better chance taking this core and resigning our useful pieces as well as try to have camby take a buyout or retire. woodsons ingame adjustments are jrs bread and butter has always been going crazy or driving and creating for novak, but woodson wont use what got him to that point in the first place.

In reality Melo aint even good enough to be your best player on a title team but you obviously dont have the chips to get a betetr player then him but at least maybe Shumpert can land you a player who can actually create his own shot and score and take some pressure off Melo

For sure but he's still a pretty young guy, also there's gotta be some compromise... length/money wise... this is a pretty good deal if its real. I'm high on JR continuing to improve which he has in his tenure as a Knick despite what people say.
