I agree

I didn’t do a deep dive because I was mostly agreeing on principle.

But those guys have enough pull, resources, and clout to start an alternative league.

just like you mentioned I didn’t factor in “charter flights” you’re also operating under the assumption it would be a 32 team league with nationwide games.

without nit picking and going to granular, all I’m saying is that there is strength in numbers that these athletes are not taking advantage of.

If it's not than what's the point? You want an 8 team league? What happened to the rest of the now former NBA players? They going to China? You think the fans are going to tune in?

What you're talking about doesn't make sense for any NBA player. The superstars aren't walking away from the money nor would they leave the non star players and league employees stranded.

Anyone thinking they can bail on the NBA is not be realistic. No one is walking away from that money and security. Playing in the league doesn't mean you can run its day to day operations.

He’s 100% right.

The stars could easily start their own NBA if they wanted to.

they would have no problem securing college arenas (star power and ticket sales)

no problem securing TV rights

it’s a shame that they don’t think this way on a huge scale :francis:

80% of the ticker buyers are white
80% of the viewers are white
99% of the corporate sponsors are white
99% of the TV execs are white
90% of the merchandise buyers are white
99% of the arenas are owned by whites

where will they get the funding? Who will pay the salaries ?

yall dreaming way too big instead of trying to get to 1st base first

The money is there at the top to do all sorts of big things… if the players at the bottom are willing to live within their means.

It starts to fall apart when guys can’t afford to miss a paycheck.

White money plays the long game.

No they couldn't. Stop being delusional. Can't even deal with YT trying to destroy and decent black neighborhood with "affordable housing" but you think you're going to sustain a multi-billion dollar corporation w/o letting the white man in? :mjlol: I'm sure the brother who owned SheaMoisture thought this too, till Unilever punked him out of his business.

It’s nowhere near as easy as y’all say and they would pretty much face epic levels of resistance from the NBA itself and all of the network partners.

I'm actually very very surprised the basketball tournament hasn't turned into a bigger leauge itself, I mean shyt it's alot of regular low key people starting leauges in alot of places. I know in Florida we got one called the basketball leauge and 3 guys have made it to the NBA coming through that leauge. Overtime starting its own leauge n stuff. Like it don't make any sense there's like a leauge in every euro region with a teams in A lot of cities all over those countries and out here in America we have very few anyone knows about other than the g leauge

Don’t know about that part, but there are countless financial endeavors that they could jump into that would benefit tens of thousands of people across the black community

Start a NBA with no NBA money to pay themselves:mjlol:

Those arenas are rented out by every act that goes through there, sports, NCAA, Olympics, concerts, circuses, home shows, gun shows, monster truck rallies, rodeos

The arenas aren't home to anybody.

If LeBron James and the rest of the superstars decide to go to any arena, minus the ones that have a contract with the NBA, those fools are going to say :feedme: and put up the biggest brightest poster/advertisement/billboard showcasing the stars!!!!!

Its about exposure. If you could literally play for and/or with the superstars in their league, what would be the point of playing for the NBA?

It'd be nothing for them to stream the games via their own network and charge a subscription fee.

And if ESPN and fox refuse to showcase/highlight due to contractual agreements, guess what? There's plenty of ex ballplayers with personality and Mic skills that can do the exact same shyt.

None of the nfl/nba players has to work for the old racist ass owners. They choose to and that's fine.

There's not one single job in the entirety of the NBA or NFL that a black man or woman cannot do.

This notion that we cannot do it without them or would have to share is completely false.

it's a reason why you only have one pro basketball League in the country.
It's not easy to create a profitable league that can compete
