So you saying grunwald isn't making good decisions?:snoop:You just hate melo that's all

Bringing in Camby and Kidd is fine...but the team's personel moves and decisions all revolve around appeasing Melo and I dont think they'll ever win with him....

Who on this roster can you look at and say will be better in 3 years? Shump?

We're heading down a scary road with Melo being the guy. I dont think you can win a chip with him being the primary guy

yup. Last Emp is projecting

More posts are saying JR Smith is in the wrong for saying this

and Melo said the contract was ridiculous because of the poison pill the Rockets inserted to fukk the Knicks over if they match it, not in terms of him getting his money.

I cant stand this racist. You hate these black men for no reason other than they make money.

I`m not criticizing the board, i`m saying Melo and Smith are wrong.

There are a few who're siding with Smith though I see.

Yes I hate the black man for the money they make, yet I love Floyd Mayweather and Ray Lewis.

You're just a bytch who doesn't like when truth is exposed.

Players NEVER speak on players contracts, but now since it's the Chinese guy, it's cool to do. I know what's going on here.

The I in Team
This is all you need to know

Knicks soap opera continues with Lin contract talks, Kidd's DWI arrest - m.NYPOST.com
Just four days ago, Woodson gushed that the Knicks would “absolutely’’ match the Rockets’ offer sheet and said Lin would be the starter at point guard to open training camp.
But that was before Lin secretly flew to Las Vegas to change the offer sheet and turn a four-year, $28 million deal with $19 million guaranteed into a fully guaranteed three-year, $25 million contract — with the final year a balloon payment of $14.9 million that Carmelo Anthony called “ridiculous’’ yesterday.
How ridiculous? The Knicks are expected to be over the luxury-tax threshold for three straight years by 2014-15, and repeat taxpayers will be subject to the harshest of luxury-tax penalties.
If all of Lin’s $14.9 million salary comes in over the threshold, the first $5 million will be taxed at a 2.5-to-1 ratio. The next $5 million will be taxed at a 2.75-to-1 ratio. The final $4.9 million is taxed a 3.5-to-1 ratio.
The math shows the tax alone on Lin’s final year would be $43.4 million, meaning the entire bill that season could be $58.3 million.

Enjoy Houston breh

Very true, he's a marketable commodity. The people like to see a Chinese guy ball out in the NBA, even if he isn't really as good as it seems.

But hey, let him get paid right? JR and Melo are just, as some would say, "hating".

Like I said in the other thread, I don't like them speaking out about it. Apparently Melo was misquoted or taken out of context, so I'll take back what I said about him being dumb, he's just fat. JR has always been a clown so I wouldn't really use him as a barometer of when it's ok to speak on these matters.

You said it yourself, this has happened before. Most likely with a black athlete so I really doubt race has anything to do with them feeling more comfortable speaking out. Melo probably sees the turnovers, him playing less than 30 minutes/gm, a small sample size of 35 games, him having trouble against tough aggressive defenses (miami), and the possibility of the knicks being handcuffed w/ 25% of the cap going to lin in year three and that motivated him to say something.

No one has to say it, Melo and JR Smith are saying.

Melo is outright calling his contract ridiculous and now Smith is saying "It would be a locker room problem"

When have you ever heard players speak about another players contract and speak down on the money a player is making?

That almost never happens.

JR and Melo are saying two completely different things.

It's funny, when the Chinese man is getting over-paid it's ok for players to come out and speak against a man "getting his money".

Very hypocritical.

It has more to do with da man having 10 good games in his life den it has to do with his skin colour
This is pretty unprescedented

Jr was asked a question so he answered it
Really dont no what yall are askin for

If he gives da political hes scares to speak his mind, if he speaks his mind hes a a$$hole

Jr doesnt have a problem with lin and lin's money isnt affecting his money

But in the same light of openly criticizing a player for getting paid. Shouldn't they just congratulate this man and "let him get his money"

Melo wasn't speaking against Lin getting that money.

I initially thought he did until I read the context by which Melo was speaking from.

and there are more who say he is wrong, yet you chose to run with the two posts who cosign Smith. I wonder why..

and you are a racist. Dropping that, "i have a couple of black people I let eat with me" bullshyt.

and you keep misquoting Melo's comment because you have your agenda. His comment had nothing to do with Lin making money and everything in how the contract was structured to fukk over the Knicks with the luxury tax. People can keep saying this and you will keep ignoring it because you are a racist. Thats why you ran in here with that "Ching chong Chinaman" bullshyt. Stop projecting.

These Knicks players are so beesh made breh...This type of open talk in the media about someone elses wallet is unprecedented in the NBA.. Favre levels of hoeness

Exactly my point.

Never do you see this shyt in almost any support, the players are usually a brotherhood against ownership and always get their fellow mans back when getting paid.

But Melhoe and Smith coming out like this is pathetic.

name me an instance where a player isn't even the 7th best player on his team (at the time of signing the contract) yet making 15 million dollars...
