it doesn't really matter what carmelo was talking about though, he's been in the league way too long to know better. he was definitely talking about the structure but that burden is not on the media or the audience to interpret it the way carmelo wants it interpreted

i wouldnt comment on a co-worker's salary structure in public that comes back to him. i will, however, let people know if he/she is someone people can't work with and resolve problems with. if i find a physician to be inept or not professional, someone's going to find out, but it will be in private.

but thats just me, i just aint gonna openly comment on my colleague's salary, or any specific parts of it, justified or not

JR's comments just make it awkward

Nah...he was speaking ton the structure of it and the intent to hurt the Knicks. He said nothing about Lin getting the money.....THAT'S A GIVEN.

When I read Kahn's comments, he stated that Melo was talking about the contract structure and its potential to hurt the Knicks.

Again...you don't want to get it.

I don't know why people continue to try to get you or Trip to change your minds. You guys don't allow your thoughts to evolve past dislking a player at all costs.

But you`re assuming I dislike JR Smith, I really don't give a fukk about JR Smith one way or the other. I`m not really a basketball guy. Same with Melo, only basketball player I really can't stand is Wade.

I just don't like the fact you got players all of a sudden talking out about another mans contract.

Favre was a scumbag for doing it when he did it to Javon Walker. And I got a feeling most on here don't like Favre too much either.

the contract really doesnt hurt the Knicks, they're fukked either way with the cap in 3 years....and im supposed to believe Melo and JR care about Dolan's wallet now?

Melo and JR aren't saying the same thing yet you keep joining the two niqqas by the hip.

Melo knows the pressure is on him to take the Knicks to the next level. The team's future is tied to him. He has to look at these things now.

of course he was talking about the structure...but that's still a shot at Lin. I dont see hoe you could see otherwise. If Melo was so concerned about the Knicks finances he wouldnt have forced the trade to begin with...

Yes, they're altruistic individuals. Always caring for the financial well being of the franchise.

Ok we`ll play semantics.

I`m sure at some point in history a player talked about someones contract, but I know you probably cannot provide that evidence., And with the wonders of the internet i`m sure you can dig up that miniature morsel of information. so I invite you to do so. But we all know the reality of the situation
I'm sure it's happened before. Race never brought up. Maybe jealousy but never this racial angle that you are concocting in your mind. Melo vouched for this guy before anybody knew he was and they just had dinner last week.

I don't see it as a shot to Lin. Lin could very well have the same contract which isn't tied to so much money at the end which is THE problem, not the amount of money itself

This makes no sense.

You seem to fail to acknowledge that while they might not be saying the same exact thing, their actions are in the same vein.

Both are openly being critical of another man's contract, for different reasons, but it's still in the same spirit.

Only guy I Can remember pulling this was Favre, not good company to be in

It's funny, when the Chinese man is getting over-paid it's ok for players to come out and speak against a man "getting his money".

Very hypocritical.

Lol, wtf.

I think most people are criticizing him making this money because he hasn't played enough games to justify it.
