You seem to fail to acknowledge that while they might not be saying the same exact thing, their actions are in the same vein.

No....I don't.

Melo's comments are more tied to the Knicks future, which is clearly tied to him and his legacy, and how the Rockets trying to fukk them.

If anything, Melo now seems to have anchored himself by the hip to the Knicks success. All of his comments prior to this has pointed that way.

again, people complaining about people talking about players money, PLEASE come and show me an example of a player in Lins situation in the NBA. A player who isn't even the 7th best player on his team, yet is signing a contract that will pay him 15 million dollars in a single year...
also, i believe NFL players HATED that rookies were coming into the league making 50+ million without playing a single down in the league...

lmaooo since i read that first lastemp post i knew where this thread was going.. its like dude tries to disprove racism by these far fetched examples of reverse racism.. then tries to play dumb like he's making random comments

stop reaching

I never implied reverse racism, just the simple fact that these players criticizing Lin's deal are out of line.

I don't think they hate Chinese people, that's racism. If anything it's a bit of tribalism.

I don't see it as a shot to Lin. Lin could very well have the same contract which isn't tied to so much money at the end which is THE problem, not the amount of money itself

This makes no sense.

just dont see how Melo is suddenly concerned with a contract being ridiculous as if his contract isnt holding the Knicks back either....and how much they gave up to get him.

Dolan payed the luxury tax all thoe years with that horrendous Houston deal...it's not about the luxury tax, I just dont think Woodson feels Lin fits his system(which is fine, but you have to understand fans being pissed because they liked that brand of basketball)

Melo said its a business and Lin shOuld do whats best for them

Exactly. He never said anything was wrong with Lin getting that money. He spoke about the Rockets trying to fukk up the Knicks with them trying to match that offer.

And he should of kept it at that, but he didn't did he.

It's that old line of "With that being said...."

But honestly, the Melo stuff didn't even get me as much as the Smith stuff did. This is a thread about Smith's comments not Melos

this is a different, more punitive luxury tax...

So you don't think there's something ridiculous about Jeremy Lin costing the Knicks $40 million in ONE year? :what:

Melo is a max-type player. Jeremy Lin is not.

Lol, wtf.

I think most people are criticizing him making this money because he hasn't played enough games to justify it.

But hold up, isn't that phrase always "Let him get his money".

I mean i`ve heard it a thousand times when it comes to other players. Am I right or wrong?

To shoot straight, I think Lin is going to be a bum myself. But it's just funny how quickly it's not "let him get his money".
