Brandon Jennings is the more exciting player and he also impacted the culture in more ways

Who cares about stats. Basketball is entertainment
Impact on the culture? :mjlol: Breh nobody would be speaking on Jennings right now or at any point in the last decade, for that matter, if he wasnt saying outlandish shyt on Troll's Arena.

Basketball is competition. You can like who you want but that doesnt change who is clearly better within the context of competition.

Players like Jrue are more valuble to a team. Players like Brandon are only better if they are on peak Gil's level. And thats the problem, dudes like that can only understand the game through that prism. They dont understand all the other aspects of the game beyond getting buckets or going mano y mano.

In his (and other dudes like him) defense, it is hard to transition from being the guy your entire life to being a role player that has to get in where you fit in in the pros. No other players in team sports have to go through it like they do, except maybe backup QBs. Dudes go from legit bring Kobe or Bron or Steph in HS and even college to being at best a decent pro to at worst a wash out bust. That cant be easy to deal with and process. But its no reason to go around shytting on folks that are doing it well. If its not constructive and you cant go out there and compete with them right now, you just hating.

I wonder what it is about basketball that creates these massive egos.

I rarely hear a quarterback or a shortstop rant or whine in retirement about respect. Or claim they were better than so-and-so.

It makes these basketball players look so lame.

Ironically Asante Samuels is now saying he was better than Deion. The male ego knows no bounds.
