This is definitely the most likely scenario. There is a connection between Abrahamic religion and that old time Aryan religion that hasn't been explored enough.

When you factor in the parallels between the Hindu pantheon and the Hellenic/Norse pantheons, you begin to get a picture of how tightly interwoven all of these belief systems are. shyt is fascinating to me that we could share so much in common with each other without even realizing it.

You could argue that this heightens the superiority complex and sense of exclusivity, or you could argue that its merely a heritage, and there is a minority within the group who interpret "Gods chosen people" as a creed for racial superiority.
Which sentiment you go with depends on personal experience with Jewish people, and the connection you make between (your understanding of) the Jewish faith and socioeconomic conditions in the real world. these connections are purely speculative though.

You're correct- from what I've read about this, the Avestan which is the holy book of the Zoroastrians has a lot of links with later parts of the Rig Veda within which you can actually read about the schism that occurred between rival Aryan tribes that later led to a split (battle of 10 kings). A certain segment of these Aryans went west into Iran and later became the Persians, Medes, etc. That's why they flipped it and made the Devas the bad guys and Asuras the good guys.

The ancient Iranian religion wasn't always "monotheistic" though, that came about when Zarathusthra played a role similar to Muhammad in Arabia and claimed to have been bestowed with a new revelation.

I actually read up on that since im Christian my self and always under pressure to convert others..frm wat I learned (I mayb be wrong) Jews dnt mind converts bt they don't go out they way to convert others since they dnt think you have to be Jewish to go to heaven..just live a good life, dnt worship idols, and some other stuff...ironically they said the same wen Christianity began...its called the 7 noahide laws...they never saw Christianity as a separate religion till we claimed Jesus as God (the son)...bt yea they supposed to turn you down 3 times to make sure that you really wanna convert and nobody forcing u to do it...

The Jews with this mindset are in positions of power and authority not your average Jew. Just research how non Jews are viewed in the Talmud . Their are tons and tons of stuff on how the Jews are superior to non Jews. Much of it is very disrespectful.
