How can you open a door then get mad at people following you? Don't open it then:yeshrug:

As you said, he's the pionneer, so he's the initiator. he's also to blame for that whole movement
He didn’t open shyt.

He didn’t ask for followers as far as I could tell. The dude whole brand is being antiestablishment so what following are you talking about?

Pioneering by definition is just being the first to do something. That’s his credit, full stop.

All that extra shyt you’re adding on is fugazi.

I like the fact that within the last decade more black people have been pushing entrepreneurship, but too much of a good thing is still a bad thing.

People underestimate how hard it is to even start a business, let alone run one. Not only do you need to know how to read and write, you gotta understand cost accounting, business law, how to interpret state vs. federal regulations, how to obtain certain licenses, marketing, and a whole lot of other shyt.

Most people regardless of race don’t have the discipline for all of that, let alone the willingness to stick to it and sacrifice years of your time to get the business running. And that’s fine.

We need to teach black kids that’s it OK to be a doctor, lawyer, teacher, engineer, programmer, etc. You don’t have to have some elaborate title to be fulfilled and make good money. :yeshrug:

i'm honestly finding the propensity now for black intellectuals to always have to comment on the opinions of a charlemagne or a juelz as being obnoxious and a waste of time and energy. to have to go and rebut every single ignorant comment is becoming tired and they need to refrain from doing so at this point because it's coming across more like they're stroking their own "know better" egos and i'm saying this as someone that respects roland. let these folks be where they are and keep moving with those who are moving forward. can't take everyone with you.

The first couple of sentences he spoke in that clip you already knew he was on some bullshyt

And how you gon say, “well they can listen to audio books, have apps to read for you” when you was born before any of that was widely available

A “rapper” should be the main promoter of literature and reading, ice cube gave folks the blueprint but they don’t even see it

And most importantly, black folks were murdered for trying to educate themselves, and yet neither of them grown ass dudes even had they thought come to mind when discussing that bullshyt ass argument

I want to say it was a herb interview with somebody but he said how common gave him the advice of reading and keeping up to date on the world cause it will expand his vocabulary, and expand his knowledge of the world around him, making him a better rapper
