Juice vs. Menace II Society

Juice wasn't a good movie now?

I had a hard time picking between the two. Both hit home for me as far as knowing people like the main characters. Both showed how teenagers can get caught up in some shyt and the difference between kids doing dumb shyt on some reckless kid shyt compared to being friends with actual crazy nikkas. Both had strong hip hop cultural presence. I've watched both over 20 times. Overall gave the nod to Menace for the more cohesive story.

Juice and Friday were my favorite hood movies as a kid…

…but I musta watched Menace at least 4 or 5 times in 2 days when I borrowed the VHS from my homeboy

I came in this thread to say this. I watched juice last year and I dont understand how people praise it so much.

EVERYONE's performance is garbage. The characters and story make no sense. Its really an absurd movie.

Menace is GOAT status

Rodimez’s crew was one thing. but to just suddenly start killing his own friends FOR NOTHING…nah that was beyond the pale.
