God damn some of them knockouts looked vicious as fukk. I loved how he'd stand there and just admire his shots knowing dudes was gone drop.

Jackson is in a weird place boxing-wise. His punching power makes him overrated by the casual fan but he's prolly underrated by boxing purists. I believe most of the top guys he didn't face would beat him but he does have some solid victories under his belt (Buster Drayton, Terry Norris, Herol Graham, Thomas Tate). Having a record of 46-1 at one point is nothing to sneeze at either

There are worse guys than him in the Hall of Fame

Jackson, I won't refer to him as The Hawk bc there's only 1 "Hawk"....Aaron Pryor:birdman:, was very powerful and had alot of amazing KOs.

Crazy thing is that he either KOd you, or you KOd him. I say that because, Jackson had all 6 of his losses come via him being knocked out himself:manny:

His sons are the same, just without as much power. John Jackson can be winning, then he gets caught and it's lights out for him.

The hardest "1 puncher" in Boxing history would be either Tyson, Foreman, or Shavers by the way.
I played for a Pop Warner team called the Brooklyn Skyhawks. One of our coaches trained Aaron. So our chant UNTIL THIS DAY we took from Aaron:

"What time is it???"
"HAWK TIME!!"

"What time is it???"
"HAWK TIME!!"

"What we about?"
"PUTTING HEADS OUT!!"
:myman:
