That was a nice man, he remembered all our names and he was the first adult to call me "Sir" and "Mr" without being sarcastic

Did people have to move to South Africa when they were protesting against Apartheid? Do people have to move to Xinjiang, the Congo, Armenia, etc. to be against any particular side in a conflict?
