I actually think Randle is pretty damn talented and has a certain "hunger and demeanor" on the court that makes me think he'll end up great.

His lack of conditioning was one of his biggest problems. He's young, hasn't really learned to pace himself, and you'd see him gassing out but he's still extremely strong and deceptively athletic. His quickness off the bounce is underrated

His biggest weakness are his arms are too damn small for his position so his defensive upside might be limited but outside of that, I think this will help him a lot.

I've always felt the same way lowkey in spite of all the bad rap he gets. I've even had moments myself where I thought trading him would be best. But I really think his issue is that he needs to get under control and play within the game. Also I think Draymond was the wrong model for him, the more I see his body transformation the more I think Ron Artest for some reason. He's also been working on his shot so I'm hoping he can become a viable player for us this year. I'm still rooting for him, I'm rooting for all the kids even Jordan Saboson.

Yes he is. He's great at everything else. Great ball handler. Great passer. Great rebounder. Great penetrator. Only thing he's missing offensively is an outside shot to keep defenses honest.

He's been limited his first couple of years in the league by the fact nobody honors his jump shot so they play him for the drive.

Doggie, he's not a wing. Give it up.

Power Forwards with short arms dont need a jumpshot in 2017 to add variance to their arsenals?:dwillhuh:

Everybody can use a jumpshot. But Randle won't operate from far enough away to necessitate the kind of close out Swag is inferring. He's not a wing, he's not gonna be catching it consistently at 30 feet deep.

I like Randle as an effort guy, but for all the talk about his handle/passing, you can't run any part of the offense through him.

He's not a jumper away from being a star, he's a jumper away from being a very good starter. He's backup big level right now.

He's a face up 4. Yes it is. Especially when his most valuable trait is driving the ball into the paint with his quick first step.

His most valuable trait is his rebounding. He's not going to be iso'ing and taking guys off the dribble all season, and if he is -- the Lakers are worse off than I thought.
