In order to get Cena's heel turn to be bigger you gotta get him to do something so extreme that even the marks would boo him, you gotta get him to spit on a make a wish kid. It sounds like a joke but I legit can't think of something he could do that would get everyone to boo for him.

If Cena went heel especially if it's the "see you at the PPV" troll Cena most folks hate a lot of people would start to cheer him just to be different fairly quickly I fear. Hogan was DESPISED for years after he turned because of how betrayed fans felt by his actions
I'm trying to think of what Cena could do to match that kinda anger outta people other than maybe cheat to end the streak but that's obviously no longer an option.

You need a wrestler with mark fans of all ages to have it be close aka The Rock. No Cena turn could match the Hogan turn long term no matter what. You would just have sad little kids and gleeful smarks. Thats why in general I dont think its possible at all, but it could really only be The Rock turning on Bryan on some epic bullshyt.
I dont know anything that would even be possibly as big is at all likely or as sustainable long term. Taker is done, Rock is part time at best, Cena is Cena, DBry is cemented baby face, HHH is cemented uber heel. The stars perfectly aligned for that turn and it'll just NEVER happen again. Hogan being historic god tier face turning heel on another historic god tier wrestler that he had a famous years long background with (macho) to join established renegades (from another fed with intrinsic heat no less) to go up against literally EVERYBODY. Hogan, Hall and Nash, as a trio, will likely never ever ever even be closed to being touched in mic ability, charisma and perfect overall demeanor for the booking by any group, let alone a group trying to create heat in a massive storyline in order to create a movement and a boom period. Add to the fact that there are far less marks in the world now and it is literally never going to happen.
Sugar Shane would be big if he plays off being the saving grace for Bryan as a thwart to the authority and then eventually screws him over and sides with the family...but even then creative would probably fukk it up and would never touch the new new new world order.

agreed, shyt is legendary and really helped throw gas on the fire...even the little things like mean gene selling it and the announce booth selling it too "go to hell hogan, straight to hell"
. he botched with the "new world organization" at the end though in retrospect but it was and is meaningless now
