Jumping rope?

Any one jump rope? I normally end my workouts with jumping rope....starting to get better....a few weeks ago I couldn't jump rope at all......Working on my crosses now.

Here's me.....I can be better....I was dead tired tho.

Can't do all that but I try to do a a minute to a minute and a half at a fast rate, rest thirty seconds and repeat.

I've been skipping rope for 10+ years. Sounds like you're dragging your rope too much and your feet are coming off the floor too much. You may want to shorten your rope just a tad or bring your arms out further from your body. And again, don't jump too much, the idea is to be smooth and keep your feet as close to the ground as possible. Good luck young blood..

Thanks bro....yeah you're definitely right. Especially bringing my feet off the floor too much, been working on that....that's been the most difficult thing.

I have been skipping for about 4 years so here's my input. You are using your arms when you should be using your wrists, your also jumping too high and it looks like after you jump your in a rush or trying to force yourself to get back to the ground faster, let gravity do what it does. That looks like a cloth rope, get yourself speed rope, a cheap one is about 7 bucks at the sports authority or dikks. Use your calf muscles, and try to hold your hands farther out so you can train yourself to use your wrists. Good luck, you will get it eventually.

Good looking breh. yeah I peeped I was using my arms too much...I was dead after lifting and hitting the heavy bag. But yeah that's the rope they had at the gym, definitely gonna buy a cloth rope from modell's this weekend.


The crosses are killing me tho

I try to incorporate jumping rope every other day. I hate the monotony of the treadmill so this is always a great alternative, plus I genuinely enjoy it as well.
