Money can only buy you the things that you can want and afford to buy but genuine happiness is not based on a transaction.Seeing 6 or 7 figures in your bank account is not guaranteed to make you feel fulfilled.
The problem is that we are over exposed to materialism and we think that buying more things can make us happy. But it is a lie and a distraction breh.
.

You hit the lottery tomorrow for 30 million:
- go on vacation wherever you want
- buy a dream house and a dream vacation house
- get your dream cars (plural)
- don't have to go to work anymore
- clear out your debt

^^^^ anybody not happy with that is a psychopath plain and simple.

now if you have problems like alcoholism or drug addictions and psychological disorders, that's another discussion altogether.

:rudy: yes it can. this is one of the dumbest cliche's in the history of mankind

This.

Because if i can afford to buy myself out of a life of servitude then I’m happy.

In many instances money can even buy you health. Just ask all of these CACs buying up kidneys from the Philippines. even on a basic level of health the quality of hospitals and doctors you can access with money is unmatched compared to spending an agonizing in a crowded emergency room.

And once you can buy health (assuming you haven’t evaded :flabbynsick: by simply taking care of yourself) then you can buy time (to a degree). How many people are wasting time working just to exist or wasting time simply being sick with some terrible illness that’s flat out preventing them from simply enjoying life.

if you’re in decent health with a decent job you dream of a day when you can buy your slice of happiness, and I’m not talking about hoes and cars.

Money would definitely change my situation. I'd be happier.

Okay breh.So the most realistic way of getting more money would be to work in an industry like sales and finance, and you were working in a stressful environment with cacs to earn a guaranteed six figure salary.Despite earning a good salary you will not be as happy as you think.sure you can look at the nice car, suit and the apartment but at some point those things will lose their appeal when the reality kicks in.
It is like saying I would be happier if I could pay off this debt which is x amount but I will not be happy about working x amount of hours to pay off the debt.
People only think about what they can buy now once they get the money but what happens when you get used to that lifestyle?

You hit the lottery tomorrow for 30 million:
- go on vacation wherever you want
- buy a dream house and a dream vacation house
- get your dream cars
(plural)
- don't have to go to work anymore
- clear out your debt

But when I think of the long term. That stuff just becomes the standard and you get accustomed to living like the one percent.Cool you can buy the watches, the houses and the cars but what happens when you get bored?
That shyt stimulates us because of the fantasy that the media has sold us and it is not the money itself it is the materialism.Money is just a number in your bank account.
Because you will eventually get bored without fulfilling a much greater purpose.I get the argument of having financial security but thinking you can just buy things to sustain your happiness is a lie.

-people becoming entitled to your money
- not being able to comfortably fit in with people who have money and people who do not have money
-becoming out of touch with the people you grew up with
-having to watch your back and your circle and your peoples back
-watching money expose peoples true character
-people treating you differently as if you are friends
-people will most likely look at me with envy and jealousy if they saw me in a ferrari or a wraith
-women trying to be get pregnant and claiming that the baby is yours
-buying stupid shyt I do not need
-knowing that you can only spend money on material things
-the difficult of managing wealth from a logistical perspective

I would rather be a self made millionaire as opposed to winning a crazy amount from the lotto because you will eventually become out of touch and lose respect for money.
In life you will always have debt breh.

You would be suprised how many people don't know what to do with life because they never thought they would have the free time.Work is a neccessary distraction for some people from that fact. You can do all those things in the first day, this is just about where most folks imaginations stop. Most people don't have shyt they really want to do,so what importance is money. People make people happy, who needs money for that.

Yeah, you didn't say anything. :heh: I was responding to an IG post

but that IG post is something i fully agree with ...which is why i posted it

its actually an old IG post from a year or two ago that i saved in my files to remind myself :

"HEY STOP THIS SHYT...YOU AREN'T DEPRESSED....MAN UP.....TAKE SOME ACCOUNTIBLITY...GET YOUR MONEY RIGHT!!!..STOP BEING WASTEFUL..LIFE IS GOOD!

:ohlawd:

that was my puprose..NOT TO SHAME ANYBODY or MAKE ANYBODY FEEL BAD..or CALL THEM BROKE...

im just saying use this saying as a MOTIVATIONAL SAYING to make yourself FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF...cause that's all that matters is THAT YOU FEEL GOOD

SKJ ACTUALLY CARES...I REALLY DO :ld:

its alot of young folks on here...and they NEED POSITIVE REINFORCEMTN amongst all the fukkery and negativity we see posted all the time

trust me I BEEN THERE :whoo:

Just recently i went thru a 'DEPRESSIVE MOOD".....and it was all because i failed to realize the OPTIONS that MONEY could bring me...

just had a break up with my ex..its been a week i was feeling down

hadn't had a transaction sale in three days in my online shop i was down

checked my portfolio and realize that "bull run" that my stocks had came to an abrupt end and i actually lost significantly..i was really down..

then just this morning TWO BIG TRANSACTIONS came thru...I AM UP :obama:

just checked my po box and found my letter of certification from the Georgia Secretary of State office validating my newly formed LLC...I AM UP :sas1:

just got a call back from a fine chick i met who runs her own counseling firm and we suppose to meet up this evening...no longer worried about my ex..IM REALLY UP :pachaha:

SO its not just about HAPPINESS..its' about OPPORTUNITIES to not only help myself but others...

it felt good GIVING MY MOTHER some money to help with her catering business something i couldnt do several years ago struggling to get out of debt..

so yes that makes me HAPPY!!

SO MY ADVICE TO YOU my friend is to paraphraseh the words of the legendary YOUNG JEEZY...

DON'T GET MAD...GET MONEY..SO YOU CAN ONE DAY LAUGH AT ALL YOUR SO CALLED ISSUES CAUSE THIER SO FUNNY :bryan:

nikkas are depressed they haven't lived up to the European standard. Once they reach it,they will realize they are not actually European, and thats when the real depression will kick in:respect:

so being able to provide FOOD, CLOTHING and SHELTER for yourself and your family is living up to a "European Standard"?!?!?! :why:

i swear you CYBER MILITANTS say the Dumbest things.......

i wonder what Public Libary computer terminal you is posting this rhetoric from :umad:

Money can't buy happiness. It can by things that MAKE you happy, at least momentarily though. A lot of people's problems could be solved if they had money but money doesn't necessarily take away your sadness. Rich nikkas still kill themselves.

and alot of yall criticizing this IG post is misinterpeting what he is trying to convey...

its not about being RICH or WEALTHY...

hell i get what he is saying cause we talked privately

he simply is saying most people are DEPRESSED or DISCONTENT cause they cant provide the BASIC NEEDS for themselves...FOOD..CLOTHING SHELTER...

and simply want the basics...at least most rational people..

im FAR FROM RICH...

BUT I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW and CONTENT KNOWING that i have a ROOF OVER MY HEAD i can afford..i have plenty of food in my Fridge...i got an abundance of clothes and a whip......

and i am also able to have expendable money to take my child to see the AVENGERS ENDGAME movie as well as go out and entertain myself with a lady and watch a PPV fight ...

things i wasn't able to do SEVERAL YEARS AGO.....

SO "HAPPINESS:" is RELATIVE...and is RELATIVE to what you feel you need to be making as far as MONEY to support the lifestyle you want...

i m a simple man i live within my means....not high end luxuries..but i can afford it if i wanted to and i pushed myself but that's not my intent

to quote CEE LO

AIN'T GOT A LOT..BUT THANKFUL FOR THE LITTLE THAT I GOT :blessed:

Not even just work but finding fulfillment is key.And lets be real when there is a limit of things a wealthy back man can do when it comes to spending money in america.Cool you can buy as many bentleys as you afford to but when it comes to funding infrastructures that can help black folk it is a problem. Brehs are not thinking about the legacy aspect. philanthropy is almost like an afterthought
Buying your folks a house will make you happier vs buying a wraith. You can still be stopped profiled in a wraith.
