I don't know what kind of relationship you have with the mother, but please prioritize your mental health, and overall happiness. You're useless to that child stressed out of your mind. If your employer provides health benefits, take advantage of that and see a therapist occasionally. Otherwise set aside some money. As black men, we often don't have a safe space to share our feelings without judgement and receive good, productive advice. Trust me, this isn't something you want to neglect.
