I've been told I talk or sound white when I was in middle school and high school. And once a lot of those Indian and Middle Easter mofos got to know me, they put their guard down ie stopped being afraid of me because I'm black. They would try some slick shyt but I wasn't having that.

Funny thing is my voice is very deep, like christian bale batman deep. I think you sound white especially for a woman when you start having that nasal sound in your voice. I grew up in the suburbs though so... hey. But I hung around people of all races and I never put white people on a pedestal. I remember the snobby rich white suburban kids wouldn't let me and my homeboys play soccer with them in elementary school during recess.

OP is exactly right. Plenty of black people, most in my opinion, speak clearly and succinctly with proper grammar. But "talking white" is not about grammar, it's about mannerism and voice inflection. And the people who "talk white" know what they're doing when they speak the way they speak.
