There's a reason you have two parents at conception.
The simplest way I can put it--as a dude who grew up in a single father homes--is we all take sides from our parents. There's good and bad and there's side one parent dislikes and the other understands. With one parent, you can't ask them to do the other job and still live their lives. Parents shouldn't be in a position to do all the work and be a slave to the kids. That's a lot of stress.
Even ppl with 2 parents should be able to sponge influence from smart/good ppl around them.
That said; one parent isn't "okay." We all need a "village."
Too bad 20 million black kids can't get away being Odd Future rappers.
