Just still prob want that early 2000's rate and labels ain't paying anymore so he keeps music ransom. .on top of that he sounds like a parody of himself on beats sometimes. I said it on here before but Just need to go back to engineering for other producers maybe it will give him a spark. Like he should be working with new talent like Timbaland stated doing later in his career. Just is an above average competent engineer and if he's not gonna make the beat he can make it bang. It would also inspire his creativity. After all his best run... The rocafella run starts with him copying homework. He was in there mixing all their records.. it's no coincidence he started sounding like the other producers in the camp.

This here.

Demand is low for the producers from that era. Labels and artists aren't trying to pay high rates anymore, when they can just grab up some random kid from down the block who makes beats and will do it for crumbs. The whole thing where producers wanted mad money for tracks, those days are over. So if you were able to eat during that time, you got lucky. And hopefully, you were able to invest some bread.

Who produced what beats doesn't sell albums anymore, so people don’t care about the names, these days. Which is actually a good thing. A lot of producers were basically robbing labels at one point, with just using name recognition to up their rates, but then the work wasn't on the level of the pay. So Just and a lot of the producers who went on that run aren't getting the placements today because no one cares about breaking the bank for a beat that isn't going to move the needle for an artist.

He turned into Dr. Dre... Does music for the vaults. So what's the point? You work with him and he takes the sessions and holds them for whatever the fukk reason. Where is all the Griselda collabos?

He's been sitting on that Griselda album for years. What's the point of having them do all that work just to vault the music? :snoop:

Him and Dre doing that is weird.

Once you blow up as a producer, you can really retire after 2 or 3 years if you use your money right. Blaze probably made close to 10 mil doloff his blueprint 1 (2001) to black album (2003) Run alone. He was on everything

You think Just blaze is expensive in 2023 :dead:

Tee Grizz did an entire album with Timbo a couple of years ago

Also if Just wanted to really get paid he'd simply work with artists who still have insane budgets: Drake, Beyonce, Kendrick, Cole, etc. He's worked with all of them (except for Cole) in the past too. Just has also worked with people he fukks with who can't pay him. Roc Marci and Griselda come to mind. I don't think it's a money or pay rate at all, I just don't think he has any interest in new music. I get the impression the only space music has left in his brain revolves around DJing, buying old records, and music lessons for his kid.

Who would lay top dollar for a blaze beat in 2023?

In this interview he was talking about his next roles, his profits made in his ani ramen restaurants also talked about how he made more money scoring video games and such, he touched on alot of things in this interview, came out recently too. Has video game studio brass lion entertainment, with 59 employees, most of his next moves is at end of interview. I thought it was a great interview with gems

This is normal. Go look at your favorite producers (big name and otherwise) work rate. That’s how it goes

The Alchemist, Hit boy, Harry fraud blueprint of full projects for 8 rappers a year is the anomaly. Shout out to Spitta
